Your fun exploration begins just outside your Roatan cruise terminal (Coxen Hole and Port of Roatan Mahogany Bay) where the friendly semi-submarine shore excursion staff will be waiting for you. They will get you all checked and into your transportation. The drive to the West End pier where the semi sub is located is just a short distance from the cruise terminal. You will get to pass some scenic sights along the way.

The semi-sub glass bottom boat crew help you aboard under the shaded topside. As the vessel moves out from the shore on the way to the barrier coral reefs of West End, they will help you down the 8 stairs into the interior where you will find large glass viewing windows along each side and seats down the middle. The crew will take you along the reefs where you can view all of the colorful, tropical marine life darting among the coral reef. The underwater scenery is never the same and the view is continuously changing out each window. There is a variety of marine life to see from colorful fish to coral to sponges.

The guests will be out on the water for approximately 35 minutes. At the end of the semi-submarine glass bottom boat part of this excursion, the semi-sub will motor back to the pier where the transportation will take guests back to your ship's cruise terminal

You will be met by a driver at the cruise ship and transported to the east end of the island, to a little town called Oak Ridge where we will meet you with the catamaran. This is about a 40 minute drive. From there you board the catamaran, and we take you out to beautiful Port Royal, where there is no road access (about a 40 minute sail). The snorkeling is great there, pristine and untouched. After snorkeling we treat you to a nice lunch and open bar, and then we sail back to Oak Ridge where your driver is waiting to take you back to your ship.

The 28-feet Rogercat sailing catamaran is equipped for snorkeling with ample room for 15 guests to sunbathe, sip a drink and relax. Built in 2004 on the Atlantic coast of France, with two outboard motors, the Rogercat has a maximum speed of 13 knots, with a cruising speed of 10 knots. Safety equipment includes life jackets, GPS, radio and first aid.

Roger (Ruggero), the skipper of the “Rogercat” independent operator, is one of the few to have Italian and International Nautical License and with all the experience of those who sailed in two oceans, the Pacific and the Atlantic. After serving for a long time, as a petty officer in Italian Navy, now has more than 10 years of experience sailing around Roatan.

Our friendly driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby or from cruise ship port in a modern air conditioned van, then drive you to the village of West End or to West Bay Beach to board the catamaran. The sailing is approximately 4 hours. Drinks and snacks are included. 

Recommended to bring your bathing suit, towel, hat, sunblock, sunglasses.
